Friday Focus: Family is the Reason

My family is what keeps me fighting for a better Alberta. My wife and I have been married for almost 34 years and we’ve raised three daughters, all now adults. I’m extremely proud of them all. 

I want to make sure that my daughters and their families are left with a bright future, full of opportunities to become the people they wish to be. I’m sure you feel the same about your family, whatever form it takes.

I want your family and mine to live in a province with strong public healthcare. A place where illness won't leave them waiting hours or days in an emergency room or bankrupt from medical fees. 

I want us to live in an Alberta where the water is abundant and clean - not depleted by fracking and overallocation or poisoned by toxic mining and drilling waste. 

I want us all to be recognized as equals and live in a province where no one rolls back other people’s rights. 

I want us to have an economic future beyond fossil fuels and pollutants. 

I can’t leave any family’s future in the hands of the UCP and Premier Smith. I want better for my family, yours, and for all Albertans. 

This Family Day, cherish every moment with those you love.  Please, join me in striving to create a better Alberta for them all.
