It's Time for a PST
Time to face facts
For decades, hard-working Alberta taxpayers made our province thrive.
Families could count on oil and gas royalties to pay for essential services and balance the books.
But it’s time to face facts: Those days are over.
Despite that, neither the Conservatives nor the NDP will even consider a provincial sales tax (PST).
Meanwhile, the Conservatives have cut nurses, waged war with doctors, and laid off teachers, weakening the public services families are relying on now more than ever.
Nobody wants a sales tax. But every other province in Canada uses a provincial sales tax to pay for good health care and education in a responsible way.
That’s why David Khan and the Alberta Liberal Party are calling on the Government to bring in a PST to help pay for essential services and reduce Alberta’s budget deficit.
