Calgary, AB (August 6, 2015): Alberta Liberal Leader David Swann says the Alberta
Liberals are ready to give the people of Calgary-Foothills real representation and will campaign hard in the upcoming by-election.
“This will be third time in one year that the people of Calgary-Foothills will be sent to the polls,” observed Swann. “It’s time that they had a committed MLA dedicated to representing their interests.”
Swann’s comments come as the NDP announced the Calgary-Foothills by-election will be held on September 3, 2015. Alberta Liberals have nominated engineer and entrepreneur Ali Bin Zahid, who ran a fantastic campaign earlier this year against former premier Jim Prentice.
“Albertans are looking for a choice that represents their progressive social values, with responsible economic policies, and that will fight for accountable and honest government,” says Bin Zahid. “The only party that represents all three is the Alberta Liberals and I look forward to making that case to the people of Calgary-Foothills.”
