Keith Elliott

“It is time for a change in Alberta.  Change that will be positive and planned so that all Albertans will benefit from the prosperity of the province, not only for today but for our children’s children as well.” - Keith Elliott

A teacher and school administrator for thirty three years, Keith Elliot brings to his candidacy a penchant for leadership in his profession and in his community.

Keith holds a BA from UBC and a teaching diploma from Simon Fraser University.  Additionally, he completed graduate work in Special Education at the U of A.  He is deeply involved in the local Knights of Columbus in various roles and was awarded Knight of the Year in 2003.  An active Alberta Liberal, he is the President of the Wetaskiwin-Camrose constituency association. Within the City of Camrose, he has been a member of the Social Planning Advisory committee since 2004.

His most recent professional activity was Vice-Principal at Ếcole Sifton School in Camrose.  He is very active in the ATA, as President of the local and by holding several committee positions.  He took a leadership role in introducing the Healthy Interaction-Conflict Resolution Program to the Battle River School District and in instructing the program within the ATA.

Keith is aware of the issues in the constituency: Affordable housing, senior care, accessable childcare, coal bed methane production and the importance of a sustainable environment.  Provincially, the key concerns remain adequately funded and accessible health care, education and infrastructure.

Keith has been married to his wife Gwen for over thirty years and has four adult children.  In his spare time he enjoys walking/exercising, reading and especially coaching basketball.
