Justin Yaassoub is a young man, brimming with enthusiasm and confidence, who has already amassed an impressive record of community service and political activism.
Justin was actively involved with the 2004 campaign of Bill Bonko, who was elected MLA for Edmonton-Decore, and has been Bill’s executive assistant at his constituency office for the past three years. Being a part of the political process in this regard has given Justin plenty of experience to bring with him on his drive to the Legislature.
Among the many organizations for which Justin has volunteered are Change for Children and the United Way. In the community, Justin has organized many charitable events, including a benefit for victims of the tsunami in Southeast Asia, and has mentored many elementary school students. He was also a member of the Edmonton Next Generation Task Force and Rural Root, A Youth Action Project.
Justin is looking forward to talking to the constituents of his riding to hear directly from them their most pressing concerns. He plans on tackling issues like the environment that are important to rural Albertans.
An avid handball player who has represented Alberta at international tournaments, Justin has also competed in many athletic competitions through the Army Cadets.
