“I’m running because I’m tired of seeing the Tories squander the vast potential of this province. Sure, times are good right now, but they could be so much better if we had a government that actually planned for the future. The people of Airdrie-Chestermere deserve good government.” – John Burke
John Burke has had a varied career, the majority of which has been spent in the hotel and service industry. He also has had experience in sales, broadcasting and teaching.
He has pursued his education at Dawson College CGEP and the Foothills Hospital School of Nursing in Calgary. He has also studied radio broadcasting in Montreal.
John is concerned that the nearsighted policies of the Conservative Party have left Alberta with a massive infrastructure deficit that needs to be addressed. With the current population explosion in Airdrie-Chestermere in mind, John hopes to provide the riding with some much-needed support on this issue.
Living in Alberta for the past 23 years, and in Airdrie for the past nine, John lives with his wife, Catherine, a local teacher.
