Assistance for Seniors

Alberta’s seniors have made so many contributions to our province. They deserve to feel respected and valued by their government.

Increase the number of dental procedures currently covered by the Dental Assistance for Seniors program.
Inflation-proof the Alberta Seniors Benefit by indexing it to the Alberta Consumer Price Index.
To help seniors keep their homes, establish a loan program for home repairs, with the loan to be repaid upon sale of the house.
Establish an Independent Seniors’ Advocate.
Give established seniors centres the funds to expand their services.
Establish government-funded seniors centres to provide one-stop shopping for minor health needs, exercise programs, outreach to shut-ins, and other services.
