Alberta is Moving Forward

Alberta Liberal Leader Kevin Taft congratulated Craig Cheffins for his by-election victory in Calgary Elbow at a press conference at Cheffins’ campaign headquarters this morning.

Taft was joined by Calgary MLAs Harry Chase, David Swann, and Dave Taylor in welcoming Cheffins as the fourth member of the Alberta Liberal Caucus from Calgary.

“Yesterday, the voters of Calgary Elbow put their trust in Craig Cheffins and the Alberta Liberals. I will not take that trust for granted,” said Taft.

Taft also thanked Drumheller-Stettler candidate Tom Dooley, his family, and volunteers for their dedication and commitment during the by-election.

“As Leader of the Alberta Liberals I’ll look every Albertan straight in the eye and I’ll tell you this group of MLAs and the others who are in Edmonton today – each one of us will work harder than ever to earn your respect and to show you and the voters of Calgary Elbow that they made the right choice,” said Taft.

“Your vote is safe with us. We can lead this province in a direction that captures its incredible opportunity,” concluded Taft.
