I’ve been a member for over ten years.

I joined because I am deeply concerned about the future of this province, for both myself and my children. I like to get involved in things near and dear to my heart. “Politics” are important: they impact on almost every aspect of our lives, from the quality of our healthcare and children’s education to the air and water we breathe and drink. Making an “X” on a ballot every four years is just not enough.

Much of value has been lost and squandered and there is no end in sight. Alberta could be so much more than it is under the existing government. We have prosperity despite it, not because of it. Good government serves the best interests if its constituents, everyday Albertans, not the majority Party and its big business friends. I would love dearly to see what this province would look like under the intelligent, compassionate and principled stewardship of Kevin Taft.

Being a member allows me an opportunity to meet and work with like minded people, contributing to positive change. Instead of complaining about it I can actually do something about it.
